The corona virus forced Patrik Odermatt and Philip Kaiser her lecture at the University of St Gallen to keep digital. This new format was challenging, but with it came many new opportunities.

The topic could hardly be more topical. The two speakers highlighted the corporate law notarial transactions in the digital age - electronic certification, digital currencies, virtual meetings and blockchain technology.

As a result of Ordinance 2 on measures to combat the corona virus the virtual general meeting, which was previously only provided for in the draft of the partial revision of the Swiss Code of Obligations, immediately became a reality.
